Are you getting too few views, likes, and comments, and most importantly, no new clients despite all your efforts? Then you’re probably making the following mistakes 👉
Before we dive in, don’t get discouraged, keep going, and be patient. It’s unrealistic to think that within a few weeks or months, you’ll get a stream of clients thanks to your LinkedIn posts. It takes at least 6 to 12 months to build relationships, gain trust, build your personal brand, and stay top of mind.
Mistake 1: Posts that are too minimal
The first mistake many people make is that their posts are too minimal. The text is too short, or the content is too shallow. On LinkedIn, we want to share knowledge, and every post is a piece of knowledge you share. You want to be relevant, tell the story, and bring your network along with your content. You don’t do that with 1.5 paragraphs and little depth. Start thinking of your posts as a short blog and take people on a journey with your story.
Mistake 2: Pushing your proposition
It’s a no-go on LinkedIn to push your proposition. You want to share knowledge and experiences, not just recite how great your company is. Instead, you want to show your vision, your expertise, and why you do what you do. Give advice instead of simply stating what you do.
The importance of good preparation
It all starts with good preparation. Create a diverse content calendar where you post about events, personal branding, business updates, successes & client cases, and of course, share knowledge & thought leadership. Then always apply the two rules above, and I promise you, within 6 to 12 months, many new clients will start coming in!
