Not Every Problem Deserves Your Attention.

Stress can push you to take action. But sometimes we create more stress by simply giving small problems too much space in our heads.

Not everything on your mind deserves your attention.

This works.

Simply not thinking about your problems can genuinely reduce your stress.

But it’s a thin line.

Because if you just ignore your problems, they obviously won’t disappear.

Stress also serves a purpose. It gives you the energy to fight, take action and fix the things that actually need fixing.

The problem is that sometimes we spend way too much time thinking about relatively small problems.

We replay them in our heads, analyse every possible outcome and slowly turn them into something much bigger than they actually are.

And even worse, we worry about things we have no control over anyway.

My solution is pretty simple:

Pick your battles.

Fix the problems you can fix and should fix.

Take action when action is needed.

But let go of the problems you don’t need to fix, can’t fix or simply can’t influence.

You don’t need to carry everything around in your head all day.

Beautiful video.

And absolutely true.

Free your mind.

Which problems are you giving too much attention to right now?
