50% of your LinkedIn success has nothing to do with content 🤯

About generations, succession and the power of family

“A family business doesn’t just build profit. It builds a legacy.”

Your SSI (Social Selling Index) score consists of 4 parts and 2 of them are about networking.

That means: 50% of your performance on LinkedIn is determined by making new connections.

Still, I see many people almost fully focused on their content strategy.
And don’t get me wrong: content is great.
But it’s only 50% of the full picture.

Networking is not a side activity. It is the lever.

First: consistently add new people to your network.
For example, 10 per day.

Every new connection immediately sees your content.
More connections = more initial visibility = more reach.

You also expand your pool.
Otherwise, you keep fishing in the same network, with the same people, the same reactions, the same opportunities.

And maybe the most important part:

The best prospects will not reach out to you automatically.
You have to take initiative.
You have to put in effort.
Build 1-on-1 relationships.

In B2B, it’s not about marketing funnels like in B2C.
B2B is about trust.

About:
making contact
showing yourself
sharing value
keeping the relationship warm
building trust step by step

There are no shortcuts.
No magical automations that replace real relationships.
It’s personal work.

Use tools like Sales Navigator.
Research your market.
Find your prospects.
Approach them intentionally.

Yes, it costs around €110 per month.
But it’s not a cost, it’s an investment in your own business.

And keep it simple.

Start with a normal connection request.
Maybe even without a message.

When someone accepts, you can personally and casually let them know you’d like to get to know each other and see what you can learn from one another.

It may sound simple.
Maybe even a bit “soft”.

But this is how it works.

You start at the beginning.

Just like dating 👨‍❤️‍👨
You don’t ask someone to marry you and have kids on the first meeting.
You first see if there is a connection.

That’s how business relationships work too.
