Yesterday was of course not as happy as it seems 😢
My thoughts were mainly with the children and families in Zeeland. My old primary school. My old town.
I wish everyone a lot of strength. How incredibly sad.
With those thoughts I started yesterday at the 10 km of the TrueTribe Zuidas Run, where I also went live for the entire run for the AutismeFonds.
Going live was also an important test. During the marathon, I will also go live to raise attention and donations for the AutismeFonds. It was fine to do. Even quite fun!
Together with Harold and Benjamin we have completed it again. And how special it remains to experience the atmosphere that is created during such an event. The support from the sidelines, the encouragement of strangers, the energy of all participants.
That really makes a difference.
In fact, I ran my fastest 10 kilometers ever.
🏃 ♂️ 56 minutes!
And I’m not even talking about Harold and Benjamin, who were a lot faster. Well done, guys! 👏
What I also think is great to see how many companies participate with complete teams. You see connection everywhere. Colleagues who encourage each other, suffer together, finish together. That really creates fraternization.
The energy you get from the people around you is almost unmatchable.
Thanks to everyone who participated and cheered on!
And a special thank you to the organization for another wonderful event.
❤️ For Zeeland.
🏃 ♂️ For the Autism Fund.
🤝 For the connection that sport can bring.
