Why Wait Until You Get Home? ☕️

Sometimes enjoying life means doing the small thing you’d normally skip because you tell yourself, “I’ll just do it later.”

Why wait for later when you can enjoy it now?

I have this slightly weird thing. Tell me if anyone else does this.

Lately, I’ve been trying more and more to actually enjoy the moment I’m in.

And I came up with a perfect example.

I’ve even started doing it. 😉

Say you’re driving home after a meeting and you’re still full of energy because it went really well.

Sometimes I think:

I just want to celebrate this for a minute.

Maybe grab a coffee at a gas station.

But most of the time, you think:

“Ah, I’ll just wait until I get home. I can have a coffee there.”

And that’s where it goes wrong.

I’ve decided that you should actually stop at the gas station.

Get the cappuccino.

Sit down and drink it there.

Have a little chat with someone who happens to be there too.

It’s ridiculously simple.

But somehow, it makes life feel so much more fun.

And the same thing happened today.

I really didn’t feel like going for a run.

But I went anyway.

And somehow, I ended up at the Almere Poort Run.

How does that even happen? 😂

It was great, I had a chat with people and I had actually forgotten to register.

But I was there anyway.

Maybe that’s the point.

Stop saving everything for later.

Stop always thinking, “I’ll do that when I get home.”

Or, “I’ll do it tomorrow.”

Sometimes you just have to stop for a moment, enjoy it and see what happens.

Does anyone else do this?

Or better yet:

Who’s going to start doing this from now on? ☕️

Show me the magic in real life 🪄
