As an entrepreneur, I pay a lot of attention to what I eat, so yesterday I put a vitamin tablet aside for today’s hike.
I’m in Finland this week with Outspire – Creativity Hikes, and we’re going to be covering quite a few kilometers, so taking a little care of yourself can’t hurt.
Apparently, though, a tiny bit of water got onto the vitamin tablet.
And this morning, it was completely pitch black.
Seriously… what is this?
Five years ago, I stopped drinking alcohol, and for the past year I’ve been eating extremely healthy.
No sugar.
Almost no processed foods.
No fried food.
No candy or cookies.
And as few unnecessary additives as possible.
And then you dutifully take your vitamins every day because you think:
This must be healthy.
But then you look at the ingredients list and you don’t even understand what half of the stuff actually is.
And now the tablet turns pitch black after getting a little bit of water on it.
Maybe there’s a perfectly logical explanation.
Maybe one of the ingredients simply reacts with water or oxygen.
Honestly, I have no idea.
But it did get me thinking.
What are we actually taking every day?
What I do know is that I eat about 80 to 90% healthier than I used to.
And I can feel the difference.
I feel fit, sharp and strong, which obviously feels pretty good when you’re out hiking all day.
For me, healthy living is ultimately about the future.
I want to grow old.
But more importantly, I want to grow old healthy.
For my children.
For myself.
So I can get as much out of life as possible, for as long as possible.
But first, I have a question:
Does anyone know why a Lucovitaal vitamin tablet turns completely pitch black when a little water gets on it?
And more importantly:
Is this normal? 😅
