This Gives Me the Chills.

Different doesn’t mean less beautiful. Sometimes, only your perspective needs to change.

Different doesn’t mean bad. It just means different.

My son has autism. He is 5 years old and he doesn’t speak.

No “mom.”
No “dad.”

But he smiles all day.

He looks at us, takes us by the hand and pulls us into his world.

And for me, that is one of the best feelings there is.

“I’m so sad for you,” people sometimes say.

I’m not.

It’s different.

But different doesn’t mean bad.

It’s beautiful.

This father is an example to me.

This is the kind of father I want to be.

Not feeling sorry for yourself.
Not focusing on everything that could have been different.

But seeing what is right in front of you.

And loving it with everything you have.

That is mentality.
That is perspective.
That is what life is about.

Big applause for this father. 👏

That’s the kind of father I want to be.
