Sometimes you have to travel thousands of kilometers to realize again how special the world really is.
This week, we’re in Suriname with the management team of YouLynq.me to visit our amazing team here. And we arrived at a very special moment, because today is Keti Koti.
Keti Koti literally means “broken chains” and commemorates the abolition of slavery. It is a day of remembrance, freedom, connection and celebration. An impressive experience to witness this here up close.
Did you know that Suriname consists of no less than 93% forest? A world record! That makes it one of the most forested countries in the world. At the same time, almost 50% of the population lives in Paramaribo. What an amazing city. Warm, colorful and full of special people.
And as if that wasn’t enough, this week we’re being guided by Biondi from Keyboxing. He is taking us on an exclusive expedition through the Amazon. By boat over the river, through the jungle with machetes and even boxing in the middle of nature.
We’re here with a great group of entrepreneurs, including Biondi himself, Mike, Alexander and of course our manager Thor. Together with my brother Maarten and me, this promises to become an unforgettable week.
This is a short vlog of our first day.
I’ll keep you updated over the next few days!
