Rally Driving Is Running a Business at 50 km/h 🤣

Maps, puzzles, teamwork and networking, rally driving turns out to have a lot in common with running a business.

Choosing the right partner is sometimes just a strategic recruitment decision.

Rally driving has surprisingly little to do with driving fast.

It’s actually more like running a business at 50 km/h. 🤣

You’re solving puzzles, searching, communicating, strategizing, networking, selling and recruiting.

All while trying not to get completely lost.

Day one of the rally with fCN – Founders Carbon Network is officially done.

Reading maps.
Matching photos.
Solving calculations.

And all the while trying not to end up driving completely in the wrong direction.

But perhaps the biggest challenge?

Working together.

One person is reading the map and searching, while the other is driving and trying to search at the same time.

Communication is essential.

But that’s not exactly easy when you’re trying to do three things at once.

So choosing the right car and the right partner is actually a strategic recruitment decision. 😜

And then, of course, there’s the lobbying of the jury.

Who gets the prize for the best outfit?
The best perseverance?
Or simply the most luck?

We won nothing.

Clearly, we didn’t network well enough. 😂

I’ve never understood politics, so apparently I don’t understand it here either. 😉

But what an amazing day it was.

Seriously. So much fun.

The best co-driver, an amazing organization and nothing but great people around us.

And perhaps most importantly:

I made a few great new connections that I’m already meeting with on Monday.

So I guess we did win after all. 😉

My weekend couldn’t be better. 🙌

Show me the magic in real life 🪄
