Negotiation Training at 1,000 Feet 🏔️

Some of the best conversations happen when you’re not sitting across from each other at a meeting table.

Negotiation starts long before you talk about the price.

Getting tips and tricks from negotiation expert Adrien-Joseph Le Clef at this altitude gives “high-level conversations” a whole new meaning. 😉

We’re hiking through Scotland and somewhere between the long walks, steep climbs and stops to enjoy the view, the conversations start getting more interesting.

You have time to ask another question, share an experience and really listen, without having to rush off to your next meeting.

Adrien and Marc Saris started Impact Negotiation Group five years ago and now train sales and procurement professionals from Fortune 500 companies.

While I’m trying to keep up with them on the mountain, I’m also getting to learn from their experience along the way.

What really stands out to me is how much they understand about building relationships.

Negotiation starts long before you ever discuss a price.

The way you listen, ask questions and try to understand what matters to the other person can make a huge difference.

Wow. So much to take away from these conversations.

That’s exactly what I love about spending time with other entrepreneurs.

You set out for a hike and come back with new ideas for your business.

The only downside of becoming friends with negotiation experts?

Trying to get a discount on their training. 😂

Good luck with that. 😉
