Don’t start too fast. And if you create great content for other channels, share it on LinkedIn too!

Guess who I bumped into while picking up my race bib for the Amsterdam Marathon? Marathon guru Emiel Berghout! πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ”₯

Of course, we couldn’t let that opportunity pass without asking this running expert for a tip.

His biggest piece of advice? Don’t start too fast! Otherwise, you might hit the wall around kilometer 30 or 35. And trust me, that’s someone you don’t want to meet.

Got it, Emiel. I’ll keep that in mind!

And naturally, we couldn’t resist sharing a LinkedIn tip with Emiel in return. This is something I always tell people: if you create great content for other channels, make sure you use it on LinkedIn too!

Video works really well on LinkedIn, especially when you pair it with a slightly more detailed caption.

Let’s see how it goes, Emiel!

So cool to meet such a big name in the running world in person. He’s a perfect example of someone who chose his niche and became a true expert in it. That’s personal branding! Respect!

And then there’s his marathon time: around 2 hours and 30 minutes. I didn’t even know that was possible! Wow!

I reckon I’ll take roughly twice as long. πŸ˜‰

Maybe I’ll see you on Sunday, Emiel, when you speed past me!

Thanks for the tip, and thanks for taking part in my video!

And of course, I’ll be running for the AutismeFonds this Sunday. ❀️

It would mean a lot if you’d consider making a small donation. Every contribution helps and makes a real difference.

See you Sunday! πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ
