Maybe we should stop creating content that looks like it had to be turned into content.
Just keep going when things go wrong 🤣
That was one of the biggest insights I took from the session with Lotte de Man.
Because sometimes we make things way too polished.
Perfectly edited videos.
AI-written texts.
Tight formats.
Company pages that mainly feel like… company pages.
While the content that truly resonates with people is often much simpler.
More personal.
More real.
With more story.
A few things I immediately took away:
80% focus on personal pages, 20% on company pages.
Less AI. Not because AI is bad by definition, but because your own story, experience and opinion still need to be felt.
More depth. Not just a random tip or a nice one-liner, but context. Why did something happen? What did it do to you? What can someone learn from it?
But in the end, everything comes down to neuromarketing.
What truly resonates with your network?
Step into your prospect’s shoes.
What do they see?
What do they feel?
What keeps them awake at night?
What makes them curious?
And why would they stop at your post in the first place?
Good content doesn’t start with: “What should I post today?”
It starts with: “What is going on today for the people I want to reach?”
That is a question I’ll be asking myself much more often from now on.
Thanks, Lotte. I came to give a session together and left with a head full of new ideas 👑
