We had something to celebrate with our accountant. Not because we suddenly made huge profits 😉 but because we helped Nino source his very first colleague via LinkedIn.
And then something special happened.
We discovered that we have exactly the same scar. In exactly the same place. With almost the same cool story.
That’s a special kind of handshake. One with many meanings. (I’ll tell you about it another time 😉)
But how all of this unfolded might be even more interesting.
A few years ago, Maarten met Frans through LinkedIn.
Maarten started a program with Frans.
He convinced me to do the same. “Not for me,” I thought. Still, I went.
That’s where I met Roy.
Almost three years ago now. We clicked instantly.
I got to give a LinkedIn Masterclass for GoedOpOrde.nl. Really fun.
That’s where I met Nino.
A year later, I saw a post from Roy (of course): that they were using a lot of AI in their accounting work. That felt like a match.
That’s how Nino became our accountant.
And it doesn’t stop there.
In the car on the way to Outspire – Creativity Hikes in Belgium (where we both went without knowing the other would be there 😄), Nino told me he was looking for his first new colleague.
I said:
“You can easily do that yourself via LinkedIn. With our tool.”
Three months later?
His new colleague was hired.
How connected can a network be?
This is how it works.
You do business with warm relationships.
And through connections, new collaborations, clients, events and even trips emerge.
And the common thread in this whole story?
LinkedIn.
That’s where it all started.
That’s where everything was amplified.
