We reached the top on our last day.
Or actually… we reached three tops.
And that’s funny, because for five days, you work towards that one goal: reaching the top.
Then you get there.
You feel like you’ve made it.
But suddenly, there’s another peak.
And from that first top, you don’t even realize the second one is higher.
It’s only when you look back that you see how much further you’ve actually climbed.
Then comes the third top.
Same story.
Up. Down. Up again. Down again. And then even higher.
Do you follow?
Because that’s life.
And that’s business.
You work incredibly hard towards a goal. You put in the time, effort, energy and sometimes a lot of pain.
Then finally, you reach it.
And almost immediately, a new goal appears.
A new mountain.
A new dream.
And you start climbing again.
That might sound exhausting, but I actually think that’s what makes life beautiful.
You need something to work towards.
A goal.
A dream.
Something that pulls you forward.
Because in the end, it really is about the journey, not the destination.
And the sad news is…
Today, we reached our destination.
But our finish is not the end.
It was amazing.
Emotional.
Beautiful.
Five days of climbing, hiking, laughing, struggling, learning and sharing this experience together.
A journey I will never forget.
