I was just offered €2,700 to create four social posts for Rituals (B Corp™) Cosmetics.
Unfortunately… it was a scam.
And to be honest, I almost fell for it!
I’ve done many influencer collaborations before, and with larger brands the process is often quick and straightforward. So at first, nothing felt out of the ordinary.
Until I looked a little closer.
The email came from a Gmail address.
That immediately raised a red flag.
A quick Google search confirmed my suspicion: it was a known scam.
So here’s a reminder for every creator, influencer and entrepreneur:
Easy money doesn’t exist.
If someone offers you a great deal online, validate every single step. Check the email address. Verify the company. Confirm the contact person. If something feels off, trust that feeling.
The scary part is that these scams are getting incredibly convincing.
Hopefully this saves someone from making the same mistake.
