My final training run before this Sunday’s Amsterdam Marathon! 🏃♂️🔥
And what a great way to wrap up my preparations!
This morning, I joined a group of entrepreneurs for the morning run organized by Frans van Leeuwen and the running club of ik ben de baas.
We covered 10 kilometers at an average pace of almost 11 km/h. A little farther and faster than my training plan called for, but I felt great. I’m absolutely ready for Sunday!
What made the morning even better was the company. Running with fellow entrepreneurs, networking along the way, exchanging business ideas and having great conversations while getting some exercise.
What’s not to love?
Sports bring people together. And when you’re surrounded by entrepreneurs who share your mindset around health, discipline, ambition and personal growth, those conversations become even more valuable.
And you know what I’ve enjoyed most about preparing for this marathon?
The journey itself.
Having a clear goal, working towards it consistently, getting out of bed to train, seeing yourself improve and learning to enjoy the discipline that comes with it.
I’d recommend it to anyone. Set yourself a challenging goal and enjoy the process of getting there. It’s exactly the same in entrepreneurship.
Now, with Sunday just around the corner, my focus is starting to shift.
Of course, I want to complete those 42.2 kilometers. But more importantly, I want to enjoy every single moment. Be fully present, embrace the experience and take it all in.
And the best part? I’ll be livestreaming the marathon on TikTok this Sunday! 🎥
