🎾 First day of the FCN padel trip and we’ve already gained a new client.
Who said having fun isn’t good for business?
What makes this trip so much fun is that you get to know entrepreneurs in a completely different way. Not in a conference room or at a networking event, but on the court.
And believe me, you see a whole different side of people.
Some are super competitive. Some play just a little too smart. Or just cheat 🤣 And a lot of them are just really, really good.
Me? For now, I’m coming up short and sticking with the beginners for a while. As a pretty competitive person, that’s not always easy, but you learn from that too. Growth often starts exactly where you’re not the best.
And yes, it immediately led to a new client.
Not that that’s the point, but it’s certainly nice. It reaffirms something I strongly believe in: people do business with people. You don’t always have to know each other for years to work together. Just like on LinkedIn, trust often builds faster than you think when there’s a real connection.

The evening then got pretty out of hand. Taking some hits, tall tales, business lessons, and above all, lots of laughter.
In short: already a legendary trip.
