Some networking events feel like a forced round of pitching. This was the opposite.
At FCN Business Tables, it’s not about who has the best pitch or the loudest voice. It’s about exchanging ideas, helping each other and having real conversations 🤝 It feels less like networking and more like sitting down with people who share the same drive.
And you notice that immediately.
People openly share experiences, give honest advice and talk about what actually works. No masks, no sales talk. Just entrepreneurs building their businesses and supporting each other along the way.
What also stood out was the level of people at the table.
Thim Janssen from Merchado is a great example. If you’re serious about merchandise, that’s where you want to be. Not standard solutions, but thoughtful concepts and collaborations with major brands.
There were also strong conversations with Robin Smit, a multi-entrepreneur and investor. The kind of insights you don’t just find inspiring, but can actually apply.
And sometimes, you just need a fresh boost. Someone who brings energy and helps your organization move forward again. That’s exactly what Richard Japin does. Something I’ve experienced myself.
We also had valuable discussions around IT. It’s often something that gets postponed, but it becomes essential the moment you want to scale.
What makes this table strong is that it doesn’t end after one conversation. These are connections that stay with you and that you come back to later.
And then there was something unexpected.
The Flippooo 👀
Pure nostalgia. Everyone recognized it instantly. And apparently… it’s coming back. Sometimes the impact of an event isn’t just in the business, but in the feeling it leaves behind.
Those are the moments that make something memorable.
FCN shows that networking isn’t about business cards, but about relationships. Not about talking, but about listening. And not about short-term wins, but about building something together.
Strong table. Strong people.
And most of all: strong energy
