Entrepreneurship Never Really Switches Off

What an 88-year-old entrepreneur taught me about staying curious, active and engaged with life.

Don’t stop discovering. Keep building, moving and staying curious.

We had lunch at Cor van Zadelhoff’s beautiful equestrian centre, De Zadelhoff.

What an entrepreneur.

His hobby is horses, but he told us that he always looks for ways to make even an expensive hobby generate some revenue.

So, for example, they host funerals and weddings there.

I love that.

Apparently, the entrepreneurial mindset never really switches off.

And then he simply gets up and gives a speech to 100 entrepreneurs.

With flair, jokes and, most importantly, plenty of entrepreneurial lessons.

But what probably inspired me most was Cor himself.

88 years old, with the energy of someone who’s 50.

What a legend.

To me, this is such a great example of how you can choose to live life.

Keep building.
Keep enjoying.
Keep moving.
And most importantly: stay curious.

That’s how I’d love to live later in life too.

Not stopping just because you reach a certain age.

Just keep discovering, creating, moving and enjoying everything life has to offer.

On to the next stage. 🚗💨

Thank you, Cor!
