But this post is about pure entrepreneurship.
Because for me, a beautiful watch symbolizes success. Not just luxury, but above all a tangible reminder of hard work, taking risks and building something great. A medal 🏅
Around 2020 I came into contact with Mick Langedyk of Langedyk Vintage Watches. At the time, the company was still at the beginning of the journey. Through Instagram I became a fan of the company, the vision and of course the collection.
Fast forward to now: from a small team to more than 10 people strong. From no office to an impressive building, with plans for several boutiques. Really wonderful to see how a company can continue to grow like this.
Anyone who knows me knows that I love beautiful watches. But even more on the story behind it. The history, the craftsmanship, the details. Mick and I can talk about that for hours. Just like about entrepreneurship, by the way.
And let’s be honest: what entrepreneur doesn’t appreciate this? Craftsmanship, strong brands, passion for quality and great entrepreneurial stories. That just belongs together.
The watch market is also very interesting. During corona, the hype exploded, then the market cooled down, and now it is picking up again. Growing in such a market as Mick has done is mega impressive.
There are plenty of parties that come and go. And Mick continues to grow.
As far as I’m concerned, this is mainly due to their way of doing business: extremely customer-oriented, a strong team that breathes the same DNA and of course a rock-solid social media strategy.
