Lost 600 euros and treated like a fraud 🤯

Why first impressions and service matter most

“One bad experience can lose a customer forever.”

WOW this is how Amazon treats customers. BIZARRE! Jeff Bezos, I think you should do something about your Dutch market.

I am being treated like a fraud and a criminal, while I’m just trying to buy a music system. They emailed me this:

“Thank you for completing your identity verification regarding your request for further review of the cancelled order 408-3184594-0283566. We could not verify your identity with the information you provided, therefore you are not allowed to purchase the cancelled items.

You may continue to shop on Amazon, but if we continue to detect unusual activity related to your account or if you attempt to manipulate our services, we may cancel more orders and impose restrictions in the future.”

Now I have paid 600 euros and immediately after I receive a cancellation and I only get my money back after 7 days. I thought I would receive the product on Monday. Now I can only buy something again after 7 days, or I have to pay twice.

But seriously, Jeff, what is going on here? How does this work? What is this? Are you even real?

Then the callback function doesn’t work and the 0800 number is out of service. The whole time I felt like I was in a scam. I discussed it with my team. It really is Amazon! But I still have doubts. Very strange.

Pieter Zwart and Coolblue, sorry!! I now understand why you are doing so well. I will never cheat again, sorry!!

Just venting my frustration on LinkedIn for once. But also a warning to my network. Just stay loyal to local companies. Much better!

And also a good lesson about customer contact and first impressions. This is so important. I will never buy anything from Amazon again. That’s for sure.

Show me the magic in real life 🪄
