Another win! 🧡 Honestly, we didn’t expect this, did we?
Maybe sometimes we just need to have a little more faith in our team.
But what surprised me perhaps even more was the Orange Army.
As the Netherlands, we’re turning America completely upside down. Even Americans are walking around in orange shirts and dressing up as Dutch supporters. Everyone is moving from left to right through the streets for Oranje. Wherever the Netherlands plays, the city turns orange and the atmosphere is incredible.
That honestly makes me proud.
That we, as a tiny country, can make such an impact on a huge international event. Of course, we’re a little crazy too. Let’s call it pleasantly mad 😄
And when the team plays well on top of that, it’s even better.
Sport connects people. It makes people happy. For a moment, everyone is focused on the same thing. That does a lot of good.
And there’s actually a great lesson in that for entrepreneurs and thought leaders too.
No matter how small or unknown you are today, that says nothing about tomorrow. You can rise above yourself. You can suddenly stand out. You can suddenly grow. Especially when nobody expects it.
That applies to a football team, but just as much to your company or personal brand.
Of course, we still have a few matches to go. But a good start is half the work.
I believe in it.
