Everyone who uses AI is a cowboy.
That’s a misconception. And it’s simply not true.
Yes, almost every cowboy uses AI.
But that doesn’t mean everyone who uses AI automatically becomes a cowboy.
It has everything to do with your mindset, your tone of voice and, most importantly, your willingness to build authentic relationships.
On LinkedIn, there’s no such thing as guaranteed quick results or a magic machine that delivers perfectly qualified leads tomorrow.
Building a brand takes time.
Building trust takes time.
Building relationships takes time.
And AI doesn’t change that.
Whether we’re talking about content or outreach, you’re still the one deciding how AI behaves and what eventually gets published or sent.
If AI creates terrible content for you and you decide to post it, that’s your responsibility.
Not AI’s.
If AI writes an aggressive sales message and you send it to 1,000 people, AI didn’t suddenly become a cowboy.
You chose to use it like one.
That’s the point.
AI doesn’t create cowboys.
Cowboys create cowboys.
If you want to work smarter, you should absolutely use AI.
We use it every day.
But you don’t have to use it the way cowboys do.
We’re gentlemen.
We build relationships.
We network.
We’re authentic, personal and sincere.
We show genuine interest in people and understand that becoming successful on LinkedIn takes time.
AI can make you faster.
It can make you smarter.
It can make you more efficient.
But you still decide what kind of person is behind the technology.
Don’t blame the horse.
Blame the cowboy. 🤠
