A Hero When It Mattered Most 🏎️❤️

In racing, everything is about winning. Until the moment someone else’s life is on the line.

Sometimes the hero in you appears when someone needs you most.

Our Dutch racer. Loek Hartog.

Not just an entrepreneur. A real hero. Maybe even an angel.

He received a video message from Fern, Ollie Millroy’s wife.

Loek saved Ollie’s life. And as he listened to her message, you could see the tears in his eyes.

He was sitting at Renze, reliving what had happened.

And honestly, what an incredible story.

During the race, he went against every protocol.

He saw another driver’s car on fire, grabbed a fire extinguisher, fought his way through the flames and pulled his fellow driver out of the burning Ferrari.

Ollie had suffered multiple fractures and was dangerously close to being burned alive.

At that moment, there was no race anymore.

There was simply another human being who needed help.

And Loek instinctively did everything he could to save his life.

At that moment, he was the one person who could help him.

And he did.

That is heroism.

That is what life is really about.

Because for a few moments, everything that normally seems important suddenly becomes completely irrelevant.

Winning. Losing. Business. Competition. Status.

None of it matters when another person’s life is at stake.

We can be incredibly proud of our fellow Dutchman.

But perhaps the most beautiful part of the story was something he said himself:

Normally, he doesn’t even consider himself the most assertive person.

And that says so much.

You never really know how you will respond until the moment arrives.

I believe there is a hero inside all of us.

Sometimes, all it takes is an extraordinary moment to bring that hero to the surface.

Absolutely beautiful.

And incredibly inspiring. ❤️
