The local troublemakers have wrecked the picnic table at our favourite coffee spot! 😱
“We could use someone who’s a bit handy.”
Well, as it happens, I had two screws and a drill at home. And since I had a gap between meetings, I thought: let’s go! 🔧
Koffiepunt is just a two-minute walk from our home in Almere Poort, and that’s one of the things that makes working from home such a joy for me. Pop out for a good coffee, have a quick chat and head back to work feeling refreshed.
They’ve even opened a second spot recently: a lunch place on the other side of Poort.
And you know what I love about local business owners like these?
They make your neighbourhood!
You spend a big part of your life living, working and spending time in your own area. And it’s often these local entrepreneurs who give it its character. They turn a neighbourhood from a collection of houses into a place where people meet, connect and feel at home.
I have so much respect for that. They work incredibly hard, show up with a smile every day, serve great food and drinks, and make the neighbourhood a better place to be.
And they do all of that without us always realising just how much work goes into it.
So how nice is it when you get the chance to give something back? Even if all it takes is two screws and a drill. 😁
To me, entrepreneurship and networking are about this, too. It’s not just about looking at what other people can do for you. It’s also about asking what you can do for them.
Oh, and for anyone who still thinks Almere is a bit boring: come and visit Koffiepunt. You might never want to leave! 😉
Who else lives in Almere or Almere Poort and loves it here as much as I do?
Let’s connect! ☕️
