I just ran a personal record.
12 kilometers, at an average speed of just over 10 kilometers per hour.
And I have to admit: lately, I’ve been losing confidence in that marathon.
My feet hurt.
My knee hurts.
Right side hurts, left side hurts…
Sometimes it feels like everything is working against me.
I’ve been training for the past six months, but most of the time I couldn’t get much further than 6 or 7 kilometers.
And suddenly, that marathon is getting very close.
But something happened today.
I started running and it actually went pretty well.
Not perfectly.
Not without pain.
But much better than I expected.
And suddenly, that confidence came back.
Maybe I can actually do this.
Because as long as you keep moving, keep training, keep trying and, most importantly, keep dreaming, there can be a day when you suddenly realize you’ve come much further than you thought.
Today was that day for me.
Still a long way from 42 kilometers.
But a little closer to believing that I can actually finish it.
So keep moving.
Keep training.
Keep trying.
Keep believing.
And most importantly:
Keep dreaming. ❤️
