Jaap and Biondi have saved my life. And to be more specific, sport has saved my life!
Over the past few months, I’ve been training three to four times a week to prepare for the Amsterdam Marathon and Zuidas Business Boxing. And what a difference it has made!
Before that, I was struggling with pain in my lower back, feet, knees and shoulder. There was almost always something bothering me.
Believe it or not, around 80% of those complaints have now disappeared. I still feel my lower back a little, but other than that, I feel better than ever!
I’d forgotten just how much exercise can do for both your body and your mind.
And you know what might be the best part? The journey is actually even more rewarding than the goal itself.
When you get out of bed every day knowing you’re about to do something good for yourself, it makes you happy. You’re working towards something, you can feel yourself getting stronger, and your energy keeps growing.
And, of course, the exercise itself feels amazing. Especially when you get to run along the sea, like I did here.
Business works much the same way, really. When things aren’t going your way, you can throw in the towel, or you can decide to step things up. Keep moving, keep working on yourself and trust the process.
Because in the end, it’s not just about crossing the finish line. It’s about who you’ve become along the way.
In just one week, I’ll be running the 42 kilometres of the Amsterdam Marathon. Something I genuinely couldn’t have imagined doing six months ago.
And I’m doing it all for my son and the AutismeFonds.
Jaap and Biondi, thank you for your guidance and motivation. You’ve literally got me moving again!
And Frans van Leeuwen, thank you for all the tips and styling advice!
Stay tuned! 💪
