Driving on the wrong side of the road with four entrepreneurs all giving you advice. Sounds like a great recipe for success 😉
We’re in Scotland with some of my old university friends for our reunion trip. Twenty years ago, we started studying together in Rotterdam, and now we’re all here in Glasgow. Hiking, boating, drinking beer and, most importantly, swapping stories.
Of course, we’ve been bringing up plenty of old stories from our days in Rotterdam, but we’ve also spent hours talking about business, entrepreneurship, finance, people and everything else that keeps us busy these days.
It’s pretty amazing that after all these years, we still have so much to talk about.
But driving on the left… pfff. That takes some getting used to.
You suddenly realize how much of driving you normally do on autopilot. I’m driving like it’s my first day behind the wheel, while everyone else in the car seems to know exactly what they’re doing and is, of course, more than happy to give me some feedback.
We’re having a great time.
And it’s also a nice reminder that doing something new can feel uncomfortable and incredibly fun at the same time.
Especially when you have these guys sitting next to you.
We really do have a lot to learn from each other 😉
Anyone else remember what it felt like to drive on the left for the first time?
A little stressful, but also strangely refreshing.
