Everyone keeps asking for a BTS post. Fine, here it is…
This was genuinely really tough for me.
On my own, I would never voluntarily do this. But sometimes you have to step outside your comfort zone for your business.
And this was exactly that… literally.
The interesting thing is that you can often handle much more than you think. I was incredibly nervous and scared. But because I “had to” do it, everything sort of happened automatically. You stop thinking. You just do it.
And yes, it was terrifying.
But it was also an amazing experience.
Overcoming something gives you such a good feeling. I have a serious fear of heights, but apparently I can push through it. In fact, maybe it bothers me a little less now.
That is exactly what happens when you step outside your comfort zone. You do something you thought you couldn’t do… and afterwards you realize you’ve grown.
That is also exactly what REBORN stands for. Projects that are just outside the circle of what is normal. And a team that gets the space to do just a little more than what is officially written in the job description.
That is how not only people grow, but the company grows too. I find that hugely inspiring.
So yes… of course I couldn’t back out then 😉
Thank you Alisha, for dragging me into this. And bungee jumping from the Pier… I don’t think there is a more beautiful place to do it. A location where you can experience nostalgia and get a taste of the future at the same time.
I enjoyed it. I grew.
And honestly? I might… maybe… do it again someday 😅
