What a session yesterday: 95 participants joined our LinkedIn Content Challenge webinar. And today delivered another moment where everything just clicked.
The biggest eye-opener? Content has nothing to do with perfection.
This is my home office. Not cleaned up. No script. No perfect setup. And that’s exactly the point.
Great content doesn’t start with a polished video or a professional studio. It starts with understanding your audience. What’s happening in your market? What questions keep coming up in your conversations? That’s your content.
A common mistake people still make is talking about what they do. But that’s not what people care about. They want to understand why you do what you do and how you actually help them.
Do you offer training programs? Don’t talk about modules, hours, or formats. Talk about the real problem. People feel stuck. Knowledge becomes outdated. You help them move forward with confidence and practical skills. Share insights. Provide real solutions.
And yes, it’s a classic… but truly life-changing once you get it: every post is a puzzle. You need a strong hook to grab attention. Then a story built around a relatable challenge or question. And finally, something visual, like an image or video, to bring it all together.
Those three elements determine whether someone keeps reading… or keeps scrolling.
And that video? Keep it short. Keep it real. And yes… sometimes a little cringe. That’s okay.
People don’t want perfect robots. They want real people.
