The Best Compliment Came Unexpectedly. ❤️

Sometimes you don’t need a big achievement to make your day, week or even year. Sometimes, it’s simply someone else’s words.

A compliment costs almost nothing. To someone else, it can mean everything.

Nele gave me the best compliment I could have wished for.

On day one, she told me she was really looking forward to going on this trip with me because she loves my content.

She told me she was a fan.

And honestly, that really got to me.

When you put yourself out there a lot, you also get negative reactions from time to time. That comes with the territory. People have opinions, and sometimes the judgement can make you question yourself.

That’s exactly why a compliment like this means so much.

Not even as an ego boost, but simply as something you sometimes need to hear.

It genuinely made my day. Or actually, my week.

Maybe even my year.

I’ll never forget it. 🙂

Thank you, Nele!

And Nele is actually an expert in her field too. She’s a strategic marketing consultant who helps companies get moving by connecting different marketing activities in a strategic way.

Not just executing things ad hoc, but starting with the strategy and then looking at execution, follow-up and reporting.

She’s also looking at international projects now.

So we’re definitely having a call next week, Nele. Amsterdam might be a good first step. 😉

And honestly, I think we should all do this a little more often.

Give a compliment to a fellow professional, entrepreneur or simply someone you think is doing a great job.

It costs you almost nothing, but it can mean everything to the person receiving it.

Do you ever compliment other professionals? Or what’s a compliment you’ve received that has stayed with you?

There’s something really beautiful about lifting each other up like that.

Thank you, Nele.

And thank you, Outspire, for this incredible week. ❤️
