Haha this is exactly it. “No politics on LinkedIn”… we say it often. And honestly, that is not the intention here.
But sometimes reality becomes so ironic that it almost turns into humor.
We want to consume less electricity, yet we are massively building AI systems that require exponentially more energy.
We want fewer regulations, and then create new rules to regulate that.
We want less war, while investing in everything that makes conflict possible.
We want to waste less paper, and print reports about sustainability.
It is not cynicism. It is simply how the world works.
I often discuss this with my team as well. Sometimes we spend more time designing and documenting new processes than actually executing them. That is when I say: “Looks great, when are we going to do it?”
We are living in a time of contradictions. Of intention versus impact. Of ideals versus behavior.
And maybe that is exactly where the lesson lies.
Not in perfectly solving everything.
But in recognizing these paradoxes and dealing with them consciously.
Less talking, more understanding
Less judging, more reflection
Less perfection, more progress
Because real change does not start with systems, policies, or technology.
It starts with awareness.
And yes, that might just be the least efficient process of all 🙂
Thanks, Tom Waes!?
