From unknown to the top 7: unveiling the strategy that led to a spot on the list of the top 20 entrepreneurs in the Netherlands on LinkedIn.

"No dream is too big!"

How I got to rank 7 in the Top 20 Entrepreneurs in the Netherlands in 2025 by Favikon in 1.5 years 👇

First of all, I am truly amazed and honored at the same time to be on this list. I honestly never expected it, and it just goes to show:

No dream is too big!

What an honor to be on a shared list with people like Bas van der Veldt, Jeroen Tas, Won Yip (Why don’t you have LinkedIn?), Michel Scholte, Adriaan Mol, Marlou Volkerink, Wouter Durville, Marcel Melis, and Tibor Olgers!

Looking back, these are the steps I took to get here. I’m happy to share them with you to show that nothing is impossible if you just follow a structured plan.

1️⃣ I started with two resolutions: I will write my posts myself, and I will post every day. And so I did. Still am! Consistency is key. 2️⃣ Next, and we always recommend this to our clients, I started planning my content based on different types of content: 3 videos, 3 photos, and 1 carousel per week. 3️⃣ You’re always on. When you’re at an event, with a client, with your team, or just at work, photos and videos are being taken. 4️⃣ Focus: Every post is related to entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, or LinkedIn. 5️⃣ And then you just keep going. This is a period of trial and error. You post every day, so you learn a lot. What works and what doesn’t. It took me 6 months to discover what works well on LinkedIn.

Okay, that was the step-by-step plan in terms of format. Next comes the element of ‘going viral’. For many people, this is certainly not an end in itself, but it is a means to get more followers, a higher SSI score, and more authority.

It’s all about one thing: Do you understand your target audience? Do you know what’s happening in the market? Do you know what people find interesting? Do you know what questions they have? Do you know what people like? And above all, do you know who your target audience is?

If you can answer those questions, you can get started with content creation. It’s about 3 elements: your headline (the Hook), your visual or video (the 1 second), and your story. You really have to tell stories to keep people engaged.

My secret? There are 2:

1️⃣ Listen to people when you have an appointment. The questions your clients and potential clients ask you are your topics to post about. Just answer those questions in your posts. It really works!

2️⃣ Every evening, I go on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn looking for inspiring videos about entrepreneurship or sales. I then create a blog inspired by the video that fits the story. Don’t make it too cringe, speak to the imagination, and it really works!

How do I find the time for all of this? AI, AI, and AI! Not to create content, but to optimize our business processes for ourselves and our clients.

Last but not least, just do it and just go for it! You can do it!
