What energy again! It jumps right off the screen, doesn’t it? 📸
I just visited Merlin Melles from fCN – Founders Carbon Network for our monthly content strategy meeting 📆. It’s always so much fun because our organizations have so much in common, truly amazing!
fCN – Founders Carbon Network is THE network for entrepreneurs in the Netherlands and beyond 🌍. Personal connection is key, and their organization, the team, the events, and of course all the members are incredibly high level!
Every month, we sit down to analyze the past period and create new plans for the upcoming weeks.
What do we discuss?
The common theme is often what I recognize in all the companies we advise: What is the best content strategy for the company page, and how do you ensure you tell even better and more relevant stories on your personal profiles?
The personal brands 🧑🚒
Your personal profile has the most reach. Up to 10 times more than the company page. Just imagine what you can achieve if multiple colleagues start posting! Of course, ‘Founder marketing’ is the most powerful. Especially if your company is called fCN – Founders Carbon Network 😉. But there are also countless examples where the experts themselves can build a significant following. So, get the whole team involved!
In terms of content, you really want to tell stories on your personal profiles. We see on LinkedIn that it works well when you mix the personal, the current, and the substantive in your posts. It can be a bit more relaxed and authentic!
The company page 👔
BUT, I think I’m one of the few LinkedIn strategists who says this: Don’t forget your company page! You also want to build a following here, and your company page has a lot of visitors, even though the content has less reach. It’s a second landing page and adds credibility. So a separate, structured content strategy for your company page is hugely important!
For this, you want to apply a more polished branding. Make sure you truly convey thought leadership by sharing substantial knowledge and using branded visuals like carousels. Secondly, of course, focus on employer branding. Make sure to showcase your team, events, and successes!
In short: Structure, consistency, and authentic, personal stories! 🦄
Thank you, Merlin and team! See you next month! 👋
