LinkedIn launches new competitor analytics

LinkedIn’s new analytics feature: helpful tool or copycat trap?

10 October 2025 -

"Maybe we should focus less on competitors, and more on our audience."

LinkedIn is rolling out a new Competitor Analytics update

Starting October 15th, LinkedIn will enhance the competitor analytics feature on company pages.

The free version lets you track one competitor with improved data on followers, engagement, and top posts.

With the premium version, you can track up to nine competitors, including their top three trending posts.

Sounds pretty interesting, right?
Because yes, analysing your competitors can teach you a lot.
I do it too!

But there’s another side to it (actually, several).
➡️ Always build from your own strength.
➡️ Stay true to your own direction.
➡️ Don’t obsess over what others are doing.

If we all start copying each other, LinkedIn will become even more one-dimensional.

And honestly… with AI, it’s already heading that way.

Maybe instead of analysing competitors, we should analyse our audience.
What are the trends in the market? What are people thinking about?
Tapping into that is way more powerful than checking how many followers your competitor gained.

And let’s be humble but real, we’re kind of frontrunners when it comes to followers and engagement in the LinkedIn marketing world 😜

So this new feature basically means my secrets will be out there for everyone to see. Oops.

But that’s fine, you can learn from me anytime 😄

Show me the magic in real life 🪄
