With a room full of driven sales professionals from the Automotive Sales Team, I, Michiel Verstraten, was allowed to kick off for 2025. During an interactive LinkedIn Masterclass, organized at the Marktplaats office, we shared knowledge about the power of algorithms, content creation and smart use of AI.
The energy was immediately palpable. This team has a clear mission: not only follow trends, but shape them.
From strategy to action: LinkedIn as a sales partner
LinkedIn remains a key platform in sales, but just being present is not enough. I explained how you can understand algorithms and make them work to your advantage. It’s all about timing, relevance and authenticity. Content that tells a story and makes a real connection scores.
In addition, AI tools were discussed extensively. While some are skeptical, I showed how you can use AI to work smarter, deepen relationships and automate time-consuming processes. Think of tools that help with content planning, recognizing lead patterns and even optimize personal interaction.
Relationship management: the engine of success
A major theme during the session was relationship management. How do you build authentic connections? I shared examples of how sales professionals can distinguish themselves by focusing on the person behind the profile. Filtering and segmentation on LinkedIn help with this, but a personal message with a specific value proposition really makes the difference.
A dazzling start
This session felt like a prelude to a promising year. The Automotive Sales Team showed that they are ready to get started with new insights and tools. The discussions were sharp, the questions to the point, and the energy infectious.
